CCTT Reinstatement Policy and Procedures

The requirements for a successful return to certified status are based on the total number of years the individual’s status has been expired. Please review the group descriptions below to determine your options for reinstatement.

Group A: Option 1 – If expired for one CEU reporting period:

  • Your CCTT status will be put in parentheses on the PTBCCT website indicating delinquent status.

  • If you are delinquent with reporting, to keep your name on the website as a CCTT, you need to pay the $100.00 dues and the application review committee will review documentation during the next reporting period and remove the delinquent asterisk from your name.

  • Complete the appropriate number of CEUs by the end of the current reporting period. For example, if you are delinquent more the 1 year, you will need to provide 40 total CEUs that includes the current reporting year and the previous year that was missed. All CEUs must be obtained in the current reporting year. No carry over of partial CEUs from the previous year is allowed.
  • Upon successful completion of 40 CEUs, and paying the applicable annual fees; the parentheses will be removed and your CCTT status will be in good standing.

Group A: Option 2* – If expired for less than two CE reporting periods:

  • Successfully pass the current CCTT exam and pay additional costs incurred. The exam currently costs $500.00, but subject to change at PTBCCT discretion.

*Once you have selected Option 2 and have taken the CCTT exam, Option 1 is no longer a choice for reinstatement. If you select Option 2, you must pass the CCTT exam in order to be reinstated. Upon passing the exam, your certification will be officially reinstated and the directory updated to reflect your status. The certification date will change to the date of reinstatement. Upon failure of the exam, reinstatement candidates may retake the exam; attempts are unlimited.

Group B: Option 1 - If expired for more than two, but less than 3 CE reporting periods:

  • Complete the appropriate number of CEUs by the end of the current reporting period. For example if you are delinquent more than 2 year, you will need to provide 60 total CEUs that includes the current reporting year and the two previous years that were missed. All CEUs must be obtained in the current reporting year. No carry over of partial CEUs from the previous years are allowed.

  • Upon successful completion of 60 CEU's, and paying the applicable annual fees; the parentheses will be removed and your CCTT status will be in good standing.

Group B: Option 2*

  • Successfully pass the CCTT exam, and pay additional costs incurred. The exam currently costs $500.00, but subject to change at PTBCCT discretion.
  • *Once you have selected Option 2 and have taken the CCTT exam, Option 1 is no longer a choice for reinstatement. If you select Option 2, you must pass the current CCTT exam in order to be reinstated.
