
About me
Dr. Barbara Semple has integrated advanced training and techniques into her practice of physical therapy for 30 years. She is most passionate about the treatment and care of patients who suffer from head and neck disorders including TMD, CFP, Cervical Pain and Vertigo.
Dr. Semple has academic credentials including a BS Physical Therapy, Florida International University; Master of Science, Johns Hopkins University; and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Arcadia University. She also received the Athletic Training Certification (ATC) while treating student athletes at George Mason University. Dr. Semple is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Physical Therapist through the APTA.
Additional specialized trainings include Concussion Management Certification from the EIM Institute, Graston Certification for Instrument Assisted Massage, and Dry Needling Certification from Kinetacore. She has completed coursework through the Myopain seminars with the Craniofacial Therapy Academy (CRAFTA) for further training with Temporomandibular and Craniofacial dysfunction and pain.
While qualifying for specialization in TMD, she studied under Dr. Jeffrey Mannheimer in Princeton and began working towards her specialty in 2020. In 2023, she was recognized as a Certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial & Cervical Therapeutics.
Dr. Semple is a member of the AAOP, APTA and NATA. She particularly enjoys educating her patients about self-management of their pain and dysfunction and collaborating with other healthcare professionals working in a team environment.
