Michael was born in Bremerton and raised in Silverdale. He left the Kitsap peninsula to obtain a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Bellingham, but he returned to the Kitsap County because of his love for the area and his desire to live in a small town. He is married to the love of his life, who also works locally as a Physician Assistant.
His Crazy beautiful life is filled with two adorable children, two boxer dogs, and two crazy cats. Michael has always lived an active lifestyle, participating in sports and being engaged in wellness. It was his desire to combine the two passions which drove him into the field of physical therapy. Michael quickly realized that he wanted to take the next step and began working to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in 2015 and went on to achieve his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Findlay. Michael joined Kitsap Physical Therapy in October of 2018 because of their desire to provide both patients and employees with a rich environment to better themselves. He enjoys working alongside an incredible cast of therapists and having the ability to seamlessly coordinate any care that his patients may need either internally or externally. He likes being able to help patients return to function as well as help them to set and realize their health-based goals.
Michael realizes that physical therapy is an individualized and unique experience for everyone and is honored to be a part of the journey for each patient he works with. Michael routinely finds himself busy with work and life; however, in the times he is not, he can be found wandering the beaches of Puget Sound, casting a fly line to rising fish. He enjoys swimming, cycling, hiking, kayaking, going on family walks with the dogs and playing golf. In the summer he loves being on the beach, swimming, crabbing, and clamming. He loves to travel, both domestic and foreign, as well as experiencing the local cuisine.
He is currently learning American Sign Language (ASL) and expanding his knowledge of the deaf and hard of hearing community to support his son, who is deaf. In the future, he hopes to be proficient in communicating through ASL.
